But what truly sets it apart? Its DarkSky compliance underscores our commitment to minimising light pollution and safeguarding the environment. Built to thrive in harsh conditions, through the use of a higher grade of aluminium and powder coating finish, it’s designed for durability and longevity, with thermal capabilities up to 40°C.

In addressing the lighting requirements, the wall light fulfils a variety of tasks, including low-level lighting above doors, perimeter lighting spaced at 15-meter intervals and area lighting. It integrates various control methods such as wireless, microwave, PIR detection, simple daylight sensing, and emergency capabilities seamlessly.

The product’s design emphasises both ease of installation and serviceability. A key aspect of the design lies in the physical shape and orientation of the optics with the product’s longevity also a central focus.

It comprises two main components: the first fix wall plate and the main housing which contains all of the electronic components – driver, LED, sensors and more, with the exception of the mains termination (which is on the first fix wall plate). Optical control is based on the common platform, allowing for a wide variety of distributions to suit different tasks. This flexibility extends to control methods and outputs, enabling precise customisation for specific applications.

The product design emphasises sustainability through features such as easy disassembly for repair and upgrade, absence of adhesives, use of standard fasteners, and robust construction for longevity and potential reuse. Aluminium construction ensures ease of recycling and there is a common optical platform for versatile distribution options. With key design elements including injection mould, pressure die-cast, and thermal design undertaken by SDA, we’ve ensured a comprehensive approach to product development and functionality.
